The first time I met Margie, she threatened to beat me up. I have no doubt she could have done it. We talked for a while, and she softened a little toward me and realized I was there to help her and her children and that she could trust me. Over the years, I met or talked with her, Bo, her brother Billie, her mother, and all her children. She called me many times to ask for my help or advice. Sometimes, she just wanted to check in. I guess I have known her for about 30 years. The last time I saw her was about a year ago when she told me of her illness. I always found her to be honest, trusting, brave, and most of all.....a loving mother. She and her family are in my thoughts and prayers. I am sure they will miss her terribly. She was truly the glue that held them together.

I truly never understood what the words "I miss you" ment until I reached for my mother's hand, and it was not there.
