Jean Iralene Prince, 65 of Oak Hill, WV passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House. She was born November 7, 1953 in Beckley to Gene and Margaret Thomas Redden.
Jean was a 1971 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley and a 1993 graduate of Fayette County School of Practical Nursing in Smithers. She owned and operated Sheltering Arms Assisted Living Care Home in Fayetteville for 27 years and then worked at Fayette Nursing and Rehab Center for 5 years before retiring. Jean was a member of the Crossroads Apostolic Holiness Church of Bradley, WV.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Frank and Virgie Belcher as well as paternal grandparents James and Sadie Redden.
Those left to cherish her memory include Randy Prince, two sons Randall Shannon Prince and wife, Amanda; Travis Wayne Prince and wife, Kelly; grandchildren Ashton, Colton and Leigha Prince, brother Darrell Redden and wife, Telisa of Plant City, FL, aunt Phyllis Bovaird of Ocala, FL, uncle David Belcher and wife, Martha of Dunnellon, FL, sister-in-law and best friend, Darla Davis of Oak Hill, WV.
Services for Jean will be held Friday, October 25th at 2:00 pm in the chapel of High Lawn Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
Pall bearers will be members of the Oak Hill Police Department, West Virginia State Police and Colton Prince.
Services will be officiated by Pastors Timothy Vicars and Jimmy Miller.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bowers Hospice House for all the excellent care they gave to Jean during her stay there.
